UPDATE: FHP Identifies Palm Bay Man, 24, Killed In Deadly Crash Involving Semi-Truck On SR 520

**UPDATE**ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol has released the name of the 24-year-old victim that died in a collision with a semi-truck as Christopher Mynheir of Palm Bay.

ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) responded to a deadly crash Tuesday evening involving a 24-year-old Palm Bay man and a semi-tuck in Orange County on SR 520, south of James Creek, according to Sgt. Kim Montes of the FHP.
The victim’s identity is being withheld until the family has been notified.
Authorities say the victim was traveling eastbound on SR 520 following the semi-truck when his car collided into the back of the semi after failing to slow down as his car approached the 18-wheeler, according to Crash Investigator Trooper Williamson.
The victim reportedly died at the scene just after 6 p.m.
The semi-truck driver is identified as a 34-year-old man from Miami, Yasel Martinez Acosta. He didn’t suffer any injuries.
Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
