BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – The Southeast Region of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Fire Management Division is conducting a strategic firing operation today at the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
The strategic firing operation was showing on radar, after burn out fire estimated at 6,000 acres.
