BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Lightning struck a home on Canal Court on Merritt Island Wednesday afternoon during a violent storm, starting a fire in the attic.
Brevard County Fire Rescue, with the assistance of Canaveral Fire Rescue responded.
Crews were on scene for an extensive overhaul.
Brevard County Fire Rescue reports that the two occupants escaped with no injuries.
