BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA (WFTV) –  A 16-year-old boy is accused of stealing a Ford F-450 truck Saturday and fleeing from police at speeds topping 100 mph, officials said.

The owner of the truck didn’t realize it had been stolen until police spotted it on Aurora Road near U.S. 1, the Melbourne Police Department said.

When officers approached the truck, Travis Roos is accused of speeding away in a black cloud of smoke, investigators said.
