Eastern Florida State Volleyball Falls In 5-Sets On the Road, Home-Opener Set For Friday

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s volleyball team went on the road and lost its season opener in five sets.

The Titans came out slow, dropping the first two sets 22-25, 20-25 before battling back 25-14 25-23 to force a fifth set. Unfortunately, they could not pull out the win, falling 15-9 in the fifth.

Sophomore Kylie Hurst led the Titans with 12 kills.

Eastern Florida State College will co-host the Indian River State College-Eastern Florida State College Tournament on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s matches begin at 1 p.m. with the Titans facing Polk State College. Polk State will then play the State College of Florida Manatee and SCF Manatee will play the Titans in the final match of the day.

Saturday’s games will begin at noon.

Admission to Titans sporting events are free of charge.
