BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College, a  sub-grantee of the Social Innovation Fund program under a grant provided from the Corporation for National and Community Service to AARP Foundation, is partnering with Career Source Brevard, to provide training for women over 50 that teach new job skills and can help them find jobs.

The BACK TO WORK 50+ Women’s Economic Stability Initiative will hold a Smart Strategies Workshop on Wednesday, September 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the EFSC Melbourne Campus in the Building 4 auditorium.

The Melbourne Campus is located at 3865 N. Wickham Road.

The EFSC Back to Work initiative has changed the lives of more than 105 individuals who completed the “coaching program” since its inception in 2015.

Robina Laney is one such success story.

“The program made it possible for me to return to college to pursue a College Credit Certificate in Entrepreneurship Operations,” said Laney.

“My skill set expanded in this program, and I discovered a love of writing. But the biggest change for me since I entered the program is the belief that I can succeed – that I have the skills I need to create my own destiny.”
