Eastern Florida State Soccer Team Hosts Daytona State in Region 8 Opener Tonight

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Two of the top 10 teams in the NJCAA Division I men’s soccer will meet Wednesday night at Titan Soccer Complex.

Eastern Florida State College comes into the matchup 3-1 and No. 7 in the country and will host Southern Conference rival and No. 6 Daytona State College who is unbeaten at 3-0.

“We are preparing for this game like a Cup final. It is a massive game and we are excited to play at home against one of the top teams in the country in our opening conference game,” Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer coach Oliver Twelvetrees said.

“We are confident of a positive performance and result but are fully aware of what a quality team and coaching staff Daytona possesses and the difficulty of this game.”

The Titans are coming off a tight 1-0 loss to No. 1 Monroe College in New Rochelle, N.Y. on Sept. 7. Sophomore Danilo Orsi Dadomo leads the Titans with eight goals in four games while teammate Jimmy Mwanga has three goals and Alex Alexis has two goals and four assists.

“We need a full team effort in all aspects of the game to get the result we need to start the tough conference schedule,” Twelvetrees said.

The Region 8 matchup will kick off at 6 p.m. and be broadcast live on WEFS-TV live on WEFS-TV and streamed live at www.efsctitans.com/webcast

Admission is free to all Titans sporting events.
