BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center (NHC) latest forecast for Hurricane Jose has the Category 1 storm turning northeast back into the Atlantic over the next five days.

Hurricane Jose has lost strength over the last few days and is currently carrying 75 mph max sustained winds.

Latest location for Jose has the storm 470 miles south of Bermuda and 510 miles east-northeast of the southeastern Bahamas

According to the NHC 11 a.m. report on Wednesday, Jose is moving toward the southeast at 7 mph , but it is expected to make a slow clockwise loop during the next couple of days and moving west-northwestward by late Thursday.

From there, Jose is expected to continue to turn to the northeast by Sunday.

Little change in Jose’s strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.
