BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Residents who live beachside, from Pineda Causeway south are asked to reduce water usage after a major lift station for the area lost power during Hurricane Irma Sunday night.

Brevard County Utilities said residents are asked to reduce water usage, especially flushing toilets, doing laundry and long showers.

Limiting water usage will help reduce the chances of backups into residents’ homes and into the streets and river.
