ICYMI: Brevard Public Schools Providing Free Student Lunches Through October 20

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools will offer free lunch to all students from Sept. 18 to Oct. 20.

To aid the citizens and students of Brevard County, the school district applied for and received a waiver for the meal service from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Division of Food, Nutrition and Wellness.

BPS already offers free breakfast to students year-round.

All students are eligible to receive this benefit regardless of their regular lunch status. The free lunches are not available to BPS staff. A la carte food items are not covered by the waiver, but they are available for purchase.

No action is required to participate and student funds will remain in their accounts during this time period. After Oct. 20, payment processes will return to normal.
