Melbourne Police Bust Charles Conner On Heroin Trafficking Charges, Also Seized Gun

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police arrested Charles O. Conner, 32, on Friday and charged him with Trafficking in Heroin and Possession of Heroin with Intent to Sell/Deliver.
Police seized 12.6 grams of heroin and a Jennings .22 caliber firearm during the takedown.
According to Melbourne Police Lt. Scott Mostert, the arrest was the culmination of an extensive investigation targeting drug related crimes involving the sales and distribution of heroin.
“The Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, with the assistance of the SWAT Team, served a narcotics search warrant in the Wickham Park campground, lot 69,” said Lt. Mostert.
“The investigation revealed drug sales were occurring throughout the Wickham Road corridor in North Melbourne. Multiple controlled drug buy operations were conducted, which resulted in drug trafficking charges. One arrest was made, others are pending.”
Conner is currently out on bond for trafficking in a controlled substance.
