President Donald J. Trump deliverd his first speech as president at the United Nations General Assembly.
President Trump discussed how the United Nations can overcome “perils” in the world today and build for the future during his debut speech at the international body’s headquarters in Manhattan on Tuesday.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted praise for Trump’s UN speech, calling it “courageous” and “powerful.”
“In over 30 years in my experience with the UN, I never heard a bolder or more courageous speech,” said Netanyahu.
