WEATHER ALERT: TORNADO WARNING ISSUED FOR BREVARD UNTIL 12:15 P.M.

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Tornado Warning for Southern Brevard County until 12 noon.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Tornado Warning for Southern Brevard County until 12 noon.

At 11:10 a.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 11 miles east of Melbourne Beach, or 11 miles east of Indialantic, moving west at 35 mph.

HAZARD: Tornado.

SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.

Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Melbourne, Indialantic and Melbourne Beach around 11:30 a.m.

West Melbourne and Indian Harbour Beach and Suntree around 11:40 a.m. Camp Holly Fish Camp around 11:50 a.m.  Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Melbourne Village.
