BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools Superintendent Desmond Blackburn wants to hear from Brevard County families, taxpayers and community leaders at the school district’s town hall meetings.
The goal of the series is to empower residents to help chart the direction of education and school policy in Brevard.
After a short state-of-our-schools address by Blackburn, attendees will be invited to pose questions and share comments on how BPS can improve service to them.
The district recently added a sixth date giving residents an additional opportunity to be heard.

The events are free and take place from 5:30-7 p.m. on:
• Oct. 12 at Satellite High (Hosted by School Board Member Tina Descovich)
• Nov. 2 at Titusville High (Hosted by School Board Chair Misty Belford)
All BPS stakeholders are invited to attend and share insight: parents, grandparents, school faculty, employers, city and county officials and members of nonprofit and advocacy groups.
The public setting will not be a good venue for families to air private issues involving individual students.
Satellite High is located at 300 Scorpion Court, Satellite Beach, Fla.
Titusville High is located at 150 Terrier Trail, Titusville, Fla.
