ABOVE VIDEO: Are you ready for some cooler weather and outdoor fun? The Space Coast Oktoberfest can cure those summer time, hurricane blues, with its delicious German food and beer, fun music, rides and games, October 5- 15, when it kicks off the fall during the Palm Bay Fair.
BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Are you ready for some cooler weather and outdoor fun? The Space Coast Oktoberfest can cure those summer time – hurricane blues, with delicious German food and beer, fun music and rides and games.
Set for October 5 to 15 at the event center at Space Coast Harley-Davidson, the Space Coast Oktoberfest will kick off Fall during the Palm Bay Fair.
The Space Coast Octoberfest will feature all of your favorite German foods, served fresh from the on-site kitchen especially set up for the festival including bratwurst stewed with sauerkraut, knackwurst, frankfurters, roast chicken, wiener schnitzel, German potato salad, potato pancakes, schweinebraten (roast pork) dinners, würstl (sausages), brezen (pretzels), Black Forrest cakes and strudels.
German food, international beers and alcoholic concoctions will be in plentiful supply in and around the Oktoberbest Beer Garden Pavillon, which will feature hundreds of chairs for guests to sit and enjoy all the delicious food, drinks and great entertainment.
On the first day of the Space Coast Oktoberfest, the “KING OF OKTOBERFEST” will tap the first keg of beer and will proclaim “O‘zapft is!” (the keg is tapped). This officially declares the festival open.
THRILLING SATE FAIR RIDES
More than 100 rides, games, food stands and shows will be on hand to enjoy during Brevard’s only true Oktoberfest, during the Palm Bay Fair.
Located at the event center at Space Coast Harley-Davidson, next to Bass Pro Shop in Palm Bay, the Space Coast Oktoberfest admission is just $5, with children under 5 years old free. The Palm Bay Fair will feature great rides, with ticket prices at $1 per ticket, or just $20 for 22 tickets. Each ride takes 1-4 tickets, but unlimited ride armbands are just $20.
The hours are 1 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturdays, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays, and 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.
GERMAN MUSIC FROM KUMMERSPECK, SPACE COAST SYMPHONY
Beer garden guests can sit and enjoy all the fun German music provided by one of the top bands from Ohio, Kummerspeck, which will play everyone’s favorite German Oktoberfest songs. Kummerspeck will rock, German style during all 11 days and nights of Space Coast Oktoberfest.
Under the vision and leadership of Aaron Collins, the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra reflects all that makes Central Florida special—its creativity, spirit, beauty and quest for knowledge.
By special arrangement with the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, a 5-piece troupe from the orchestra will perform on the two Saturdays of the festival, October 7 and 14 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
