A regular meeting of the Indialantic Town Council will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 15 at the Indialantic Town Hall, located at 216 Fifth Avenue in Indialantic.

BREVARD COUNTY • INDIALANTIC, FLORIDA – A regular meeting of the Indialantic Town Council will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, in the Indialantic Town Hall, located at 216 Fifth Avenue in Indialantic, Florida.

The Indialantic Town Council includes Mayor Dave Berkman, Deputy Mayor Stu Glass (seat #4), Councilmember Dick Dunn (seat #3), Councilmember Randy Greer (seat #1) and Councilmember Mary Jo Kilcullen (seat #2).

NEW BUSINESS ITEMS

• Twelfth Avenue Drainage – Approve the installation of two drainage inlets and related pipe at an estimated cost of $25,000.

• Storm Sewer Improvement Effort – Address improving the existing storm sewer system; authorize a special election/mail ballot to obtain the wishes of the voters; and direct the Town Attorney to prepare the ballot question.

• Invasive Plants in Town Parks – Approve removing Category I invasive plants from Town parks.

• Town Manager Evaluation – Accept the performance evaluation for the Town Manager for the period of October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017.

• Food Truck Event – Consider the Mayor’s request to sponsor a food truck event in NancePark at no cost to the Town.

• Hurricane Irma Recognition – Authorize recognition of those individuals who went above and beyond during the effects of Hurricane Irma.

IV. PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

A. There are currently openings, including reappointments, on the General Employees Pension Board; Melbourne Beach Library Advisory Board; and Police/Fire Pension Board.

B. There will be openings and reappointments on the General Employees Pension Board; Heritage Committee; Parks, Recreation and Beautification Committee; Police/Fire Pension Board; and Zoning & Planning Board in November.

C. Council Member Randy Greer, Mr. Simon Kemp, and Ms. Laura Rankin have qualified to run for Seat 1, and Council Member Dick Dunn and Mr. Lawrence Maxwell have qualified to run for Seat 3 in the November 7, 2017, General Election.Those elected will be sworn in on December 13, 2017.

D. The 10th Annual Witch Way 5K will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017.

E. The 2017 Halloween Festival will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m..
