City of Palm Bay Honored With Award Recognizing Excellence in Financial Reporting

The City of Palm Bay’s 2016 fiscal year Comprehensive Annual Financial Report has qualified for the Government Finance Officers Association’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The City of Palm Bay’s 2016 fiscal year Comprehensive Annual Financial Report has qualified for the Government Finance Officers Association’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

Awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, a Certificate of Achievement is presented to those government units whose annual financial reports are judged to adhere to program standards and demonstrate a spirit of full disclosure.

“The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment,” said City of Palm Bay officials in a release.

“This is the 27th year the City of Palm Bay has received recognition for this accomplishment.”

An award of Financial Reporting Achievement was also presented by the Government Finance Officers Association to Marcia Patacer, Accounting Manager, as the individual instrumental in the City achieving the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
