BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –Florida Highway Patrol responded to a deadly incident Sunday night that involved a pickup truck and a pedestrian along I-95 at mile marker 221, near the SR 406 exit.

The pedestrian killed is identified as a 25-year-old woman, Marcasia Crenshaw, from Boynton Beach.

Troopers say a vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Yuri Kosolapenko, was stopped in the inside southbound travel lane around 10:30 p.m. on I-95 due to disabling damage from a previous crash.

Crenshaw stopped to assist the vehicle and render aid as a good samaritan, according to state troopers.

However, a 2004 Chevy pickup truck approached at a fast speed and attempted to aggressively brake and swerved to miss the vehicle in the road.
