Marcasia Crenshaw, 25, from Boynton Beach killed
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –Florida Highway Patrol responded to a deadly incident Sunday night that involved a pickup truck and a pedestrian along I-95 at mile marker 221, near the SR 406 exit.
The pedestrian killed is identified as a 25-year-old woman, Marcasia Crenshaw, from Boynton Beach.
Troopers say a vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Yuri Kosolapenko, was stopped in the inside southbound travel lane around 10:30 p.m. on I-95 due to disabling damage from a previous crash.
Crenshaw stopped to assist the vehicle and render aid as a good samaritan, according to state troopers.
However, a 2004 Chevy pickup truck approached at a fast speed and attempted to aggressively brake and swerved to miss the vehicle in the road.
Crenshaw began running towards the median to avoid the crash but was struck by the front-right bumper of the truck.
The driver of the truck is identified as 23-year-old Dalton Vancor from Deatsville, Alabama.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the incident.
