Two Suspects, One Juvenile Arrested In Unincorporated Cocoa After BCSO Locates Three Stolen Vehicles

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men and a juvenile in unincorporated Cocoa Wednesday morning that resulted in the recovery of three stolen vehicles and firearm.

The suspects arrested are 21-year-olds Corwyn Mitchell and Dontarious Jordan, along with a 17-year-old male.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office says the incident started at around 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday when a agent, dressed in plainclothes observed a red Honda at the Budget Inn in Cocoa that was reported stolen out of the city of Melbourne.

The three suspects entered the vehicle and fled the area after when they saw saw the agent. The perps headed north on I-95, where the vehicle was observed a short time later in the Titusville area.

At that time the Sheriff’s Office STAR Unit began following the vehicle and authorities followed the vehicle to an apartment complex in Merritt Island where the suspects parked the vehicle, before leaving the area in another vehicle that was determined to be stolen.

The suspects proceeded to drive from Merritt Island to unincorporated Cocoa where they fled from the vehicle in the area of Stratford Drive.

BCSO Aviation Uni was called in and was able to direct deputies to the area where all three suspects were taken into custody.

At the time of his arrest, Jordan was found to be in possession of a concealed firearm, according to authorities.

A third stolen vehicle was recovered during the follow-up investigation.

Mitchell has been charged with Grand Theft Auto, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving, resisting without violence and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

Jordan was charged with Grand Theft Auto, Carrying a Concealed Firearm and Resting without Violence.

The juvenile faces charges of Resisting without Violence and Violation of Probation.

The two adults are being held at the Brevard County Jail and the juvenile will be taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
