BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Earlier today, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the East Coast Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Waste Management, and Walmart all partnered together once again to give bicycles away during the Christmas Season to kids in need.

This year’s program helped to make sure that over 200 kids in Brevard County wake up Christmas morning with a new bicycle, helmet, and bicycle lock.

The 4th annual event takes place largely in part because of fundraising by the ABC Team, generous donations by Walmart to help fund the program, the efforts of Waste Management to deliver used and unwanted bikes to our Inmate Work Farm, our BCSO Work Farm Unit, and the amazing work of volunteers from all of the partners.

I would like to personally thank everyone who took part in this amazing event and especially thank ABC Vice President Jan Miorelli who spearheads the Fundraising effort each year.

I would like to also thank our entire Work Farm Unit that work tirelessly on this program and are so passionate about doing everything they can to help every kid in Brevard County have a great Christmas morning.

As I always say “it takes a community to protect a community” and this partnership is just one more example of the amazing things that happen in Brevard County because of everyone working together to make this county a great place to call home!
