Car Disintegrates as a Result of Single Vehicle Crash On South Tropical Early Thursday Morning

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue Engine 62, Rescue 62 and District 60 responded to an early morning vehicle collision on Thursday involving a single vehicle.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the incident occurred on South Merritt Island in the 6700 block of South Tropical Trail.

“The single occupant was entrapped and had to be extricated with hydraulic rescue tools,” said BCFR officials.

“The person was transported by R62 as a trauma alert to a trauma center. The time of the call was 02:05 hours.”
