BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I am very proud to announce that earlier this year we initiated in partnership with Eastern Florida State College a Law Enforcement Academy Class specifically for future Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Deputies.

The concept was presented to me by our Career Development Team to conduct an academy class for our employees that was instructed exclusively by experienced members of our agency.

The Academy graduated on October 23 and the Cadets are currently in the final stages of our Field Training Program where they are preparing to hit the streets to protect our citizens.

I could not be more proud of our team for creating this innovative concept and our employees for providing the education, experience, training and leadership to turn 17 incredible candidates into part of our team to protect citizens.

It was my honor to spend time with this eager group of future Law Enforcement Officers and to swear them into our family as Brevard County Deputy Sheriffs.

The newest members of our team are Geraldo Jean-Baptite, Allen Basler, Matthew Bauman, Raphael Hood, Robert Ladwig, Oneil Brooks, Blake Carpenter, Hannah Carpenter, Eliezer Nazario, Jesse Pratt, Kaley Shaouni, William Carrion, David Dixon, Lindsey Hill, Ronald Thomas, Cody Weidner, and Monica Zaldivar.

Please join me in congratulating this outstanding group of young professionals as they begin a new chapter in their lives and our Career Development Team, FTO’s and trainers for making this concept a reality!!
