SUV Strikes, Kills 46-Year-Old Man Walking On US 1 In Cocoa Early Thursday Morning

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – An SUV driven by a Titusville man struck and killed a 46-year-old man early Thursday morning who was walking on US 1 and Fairview Avenue in Cocoa.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking northbound in the outside travel lane when a vehicle, traveling northbound, driven by 44-year-old Steven Turner, hit the pedestrian.
The 46-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene around 1 a.m., according to police.
Turner suffered no injuries and the victim has not yet been identified.
The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
