ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA — Florida Tech men’s basketball team’s four-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday with a 90-71 road loss to Sunshine State Conference foe Eckerd at the McArthur Center.

The defeat also ended FIT’s (10-9, 5-6 SSC) four-game road win streak as the Tritons’ (15-3, 8-3 SSC) earned the season sweep over the Panthers.

Patrick Anderson led Florida Tech with 18 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Sam Daniel added 17 points and Jordan Majors recorded 15 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Eckerd dominated FIT on the glass, 45-22, including a 14-6 edge in offensive boards that led to 23 points for the Tritons. EC also outscored the Panthers in the paint, 40-30.

Florida Tech will look to bounce back when it returns to its home court at the Clemente Center for a showdown with SSC rival Rollins on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 p.m. ET. Fans can access live coverage of the matchup at FloridaTechSports.com/live.

TEREZA SEDLAKOVA’S 19-POINTS NOT ENOUGH IN ROAD LOSS TO ECKARD

On Saturday afternoon, Florida Tech (8-9, SSC 5-6) was downed by the Eckerd Tritons (13-5, SSC 7-4), 65-43 at the McArthur Center.

Running the Panthers offense with a season-high 17 points, junior Tereza Sedlakova ended the weekend outing with a 7-for-11 performance from the floor and a team-best four rebounds.

Adding six points to the FIT total, senior DeLise Williams tallied a team-high two assists and two steals.

Senior Tanease Richardson scored five points for the Crimson and Gray, going 2-for-4 from the field in 12 minutes of action.

As a team, Florida Tech notched a 30.6 shooting percentage from the floor and went 50 percent from behind the line. Additionally, FIT out-rebounded the Tritons 35-33 and held a 3-2 advantage in blocks.

Next up, Florida Tech will return home to host Rollins on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 5:30 p.m. ET.
