TRABZON TURKEY – Terrifying pictures show plane hanging over a cliff after skidding off a runway at Trabzon Airport in Turkey.

The passenger jet had 168 people on board as it skidded off the runway and fell down a cliff as it was landing.

The Pegasus Airlines flight had traveled from Turkey’s capital Ankara and the Boeing 737-800 slipped on the icy runway as it came into land on Saturday evening.

Miraculously, none of the 162 passengers or the six staff on flight PC8622 were injured during the terrifying landing which caused the left jet engine to be ripped from the plane’s wing.

It is thought that the mud on the cliff caused the plane’s wheels to become stuck, therefore stopping it from plunging into the icy ocean.
