BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – It was my honor to speak at the Florida Sheriff’s Conference Tuesday about the various innovative ideas and programs our agency has developed to reach our community.

During the afternoon session of the annual FSA Winter Conference, Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma, Franklin County Sheriff A.J. Smith and myself spoke to the audience about the various innovative ideas our agencies have created to lower our Crime Rate and outreach to our communities.

During the presentation, I had a chance to present information and successes on programs such as Its Time To Be A Parent Again, Paws and Stripes, Wheel of Fugitive, the 4 A’s of Survival, Church Security, Great Kids, and our Self Defense Through Tactical Shooting initiative.

The purpose of the presentation was to afford other Sheriff’s Offices throughout the state of Florida the opportunity to learn about the various programs that can then be utilized to effectively communicate with their citizens in their own jurisdictions.

I would like to personally thank Sheriffs Leema and Smith for presenting with me at the conference and the Florida Sheriff’s Association for asking us to share some of our initiatives and successful programs with Sheriffs from around the state of Florida.
