Cocoa Beach Police Investigating Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting That Happened Friday Night

Melbourne police arrested Bryon Kevin Lewis, 39, for Attempted Murder Wednesday night after a shooting at the Landmark at Ocean Breeze Apartments about 8:25 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Beach Police Department is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred about 10:20 p.m. Friday night.

According to Cocoa Beach police officials, officers received a call that a man with a gun was at the Royal Colonial Condominium on South Banana Boulevard in Cocoa Beach.

When officers arrived on scene the encounter with the armed man turned deadly.

Law enforcement has not released any detailed information on this incident.
