Florida Tech Men’s and Women’s Swimming Tabbed Scholar All-America Teams

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Tech men’s and women’s swimming programs have earned the distinction of Scholar All-America teams for the Fall 2017 semester, announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The Panthers are among 688 teams across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions to earn the honor. For a team to be considered, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average for the Fall semester.
The FIT women posted a team GPA of 3.21 this past fall, while the men’s team recorded a 3.47 GPA.
Guided by head coach Justin Andrade, the men’s and women’s swimming teams are currently preparing for the upcoming Sunshine State Conference Championships on Feb. 16-19 at the Long Center in Clearwater, Fla.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of American – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
