BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – After an impressive display in the spring’s opening tournament, Florida Tech men’s golfer Max O’Hagan has been named Sunshine State Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.

The Surrey, England product finished tied for third overall at the Titan Winter Invitational held at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne. The sophomore shot even-par 72 in the first round of play.

On his next trip around the course, O’Hagan carded a 5-under par 67 to move into second place with one more round to go. In the final round of the tournament, O’Hagan shot a 3-over 75 to conclude the tournament at 2-under 214 and in a tie for third place.

The No. 5 Florida Tech men’s golf team is currently competing in the 37th annual Matlock Collegiate Classic at Lone Palm Golf Club in Lakeland, Florida. Fans can access link to live results at FloridaTechSports.com.

After recording the first tournament victory of her collegiate career, Florida Tech women’s golfer Noelle Beijer has been named Sunshine State Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week, announced by the SSC office on Monday.

The Assendelft, Netherlands native was impressive in the Panthers’ opening tournament of the spring, the World Golf Invitational held at World Golf Villages’ Slammer & Squire course in Saint Augustine, Florida.

The freshman teed off the competition by tallying a 1-under 71 in the first round to sit in second place heading into the second day.

In the final round, Beijer carded 12 pars and five birdies and tied the tournament record of 4-under 68 to finish at 5-under 139 and win the tournament championship by a four-stroke margin.

The Florida Tech women’s golf team is back in action on Feb. 19-20 competing in the Lake Moc Classic at Grasslands Golf & Country Club in Lakeland, Florida. Fans can access links to live results at FloridaTechSports.com.
