BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA VILLAGE – Magic Dove Magic Shop, located at 604 Brevard Avenue in Cocoa Village, is launching free monthly magic workshops for kids.

Magic Dove’s Magic Workshop for Kids is for children ages 7-17 and is designed to build positive character traits and increase confidence.

The program highlights believing in the magic of kindness and the importance of putting smiles on the faces of others.

Magic Dove Magic Shop is home to the world’s largest chartered kids magic club — The Society of Young Magicians Club. Local youth members of the club will assist in the workshop as part of their community service requirement.

“By learning simple magic tricks, children can build positive character traits and increase their confidence,” said Dr. Dan Ezell, owner of Magic Dove Magic Shop.

“Also, our advanced teenage magic mentors are learning valuable life skills as they teach magic tricks to the beginners. When we see confidence soar, that’s when the real magic happens.”

“I enjoy teaching magic to younger children, it is especially rewarding when I see them perform for others what I just taught them,” said Autumn VanVorhis, Rockledge High student and the 2018 Youth Florida Magician of the Year.

Supplies are included, and parents are encouraged to learn along with their children to increase the likelihood of success. Space is limited and reservations are required.
