Dr. Ben C. Storey passed away at his home in Mims on March 2. His parents and eight siblings preceded him in death. Kind and generous, Ben faithfully served his community for over five decades. As a doctor, high school athletics supporter, mentor, and friend, he impacted countless lives by loving and serving others. He will be remembered for his warm and welcoming spirit, his strength of character, and his knack for telling a great joke.

BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – Dr. Ben C. Storey passed away at his home in Mims on March 2. His parents and eight siblings preceded him in death.

He is survived by his beloved wife Mary of 62 years, and his children, Mark Storey (Nancy) of Titusville, Florida, Matt Storey (Terrilyn) of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Todd Storey (Kathy) of Auburn, Alabama, Troy Storey (Pam) of Gainesville, Florida, and Monique Muldowney (David) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

Ben was a loving Pepa to 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Polly Grantham (Dick) and Juanita Pugh of Indiana.

He was born August 3, 1933, to Tom Storey and Mary Russo Storey, who emigrated to the United States from Italy. The youngest of 11 children, Ben attended Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana and later graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1958. He and Mary moved to Florida when he was an intern at Tampa General Hospital before settling in Titusville in 1959 where he opened his medical practice.

Kind and generous, Ben faithfully served his community for over five decades. As a doctor, high school athletics supporter, mentor, and friend, he impacted countless lives by loving and serving others. He will be remembered for his warm and welcoming spirit, his strength of character, and his knack for telling a great joke.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Dr. Ben C. Storey scholarship fund at Astronaut High School. Checks can be made payable to AHS, with Ben Storey in the memo line.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 9 from 5-8 pm at North Brevard Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 10 at 4 pm at First Christian Church in Titusville, Florida. There will be an opportunity to greet the family prior to the service.
