BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department will be playing against members of the Southwest Middle School Broncos boys and girls basketball teams at 5 p.m. in the Southwest Middle gym on Thursday, March 8.

School Resource Officer Kyle Eakins has worked with Southwest Middle’s Anti-Bullying Club to organize the event in an effort to raise money for projects and programs geared towards youth crime prevention and to prevent bullying.

“The kids are so excited to play the police department,” said Eakins.

“They have been talking about it all week and I know our officers are going to have a good game against them. It should be a fun event for everyone and is a great way for some of the students to get to know our officers a little better.”

Tickets to the game will be $1 for students and $2 for members of the community, with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. Be sure to come out and cheer for your favorite team and show your support for Southwest Middle’s Anti-Bullying Club.
