Palm Bay Police VCOP Director Carlos Cheker Honored For More Than 7,000 Volunteer Hours

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police VCOP Director Carlos Cheker is leaving the VCOP program after five years of service to move closer to his daughter and grandchildren.
During the past five years, Cheker has volunteered more than 7,076 hours of his time, energy and spirit to the citizens of Palm Bay.
“Mr. Cheker has been a vital part of our agencies mission and has assisted in countless operations including Command Post Team, Christmas Parades, Fourth of July and Hurricane Relief Operations to name a few,” said Palm Bay Police Chief James Rogers.
Chief Rogers recognized Cheker for his contributions and noted that the agency and officers will be forever grateful.
Chief Rogers announced that the new VCOP Director is Leeta Jordan and Sam Swan will be the VCOP Operations Supervisor.
