Port Canaveral’s George Kistner III, was voted Vice Chair for the Florida Historical Commission. In addition to being the Records and Information Manager here Port Canaveral, Kistner is the Port Historian and is constantly busy preserving original Port historical documents.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Port Canaveral’s George Kistner III, was voted Vice Chair for the Florida Historical Commission.

In addition to being the records and information manager at Port Canaveral, Kistner is the port historian and is constantly busy preserving original port historical documents.

In late February, he was appointed to the advisory board for the Commission. As a third generation Floridian with a love for history, Kistner’s knowledge extends beyond the Port.
