ABOVE VIDEO: Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly says Brenden Geary, 21, is behind the brutal attack of an 11-pound dog.

PALM COAST, FLORIDA – Dixie, an 11-pound Yorkshire Terrier, was choked to the point of unconsciousness, according to authorities.

Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly says Brenden Geary, 21, is behind the brutal attack. He is the dog owner’s roommate. Sheriff Staly said Geary flipped out on the puppy because Dixie was “acting like a dog.”

“The roommate did admit he did beat the dog because the dog had relieved himself in the home,” Sheriff Staly said.

The dogs’ eyes were bloodshot and bruises covered her tiny body when her owner found her on the floor of their Palm Coast home.
