SPACE COAST DAILY TV: The 2018 St. Baldrick’s Brevard Big Shave event to raise funds for childhood cancer research attracted a huge crowd Saturday at The Avenue Viera.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The 2018 St. Baldrick’s Brevard Big Shave Eevent to raise funds for childhood cancer research attracted a huge crowd Saturday at The Avenue Viera.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

“The St. Baldrick’s Foundation focuses on celebrating kids and funding the most promising research to give them the happy childhoods they deserve,” said The Avenue Viera General Manager, and Big Shave organizer, Scott McCarthy.

“The Foundation is known for its signature head-shaving events where volunteers shave their heads to raise funds for childhood cancer research.”

The research St. Baldrick’s funds has the potential to impact every kid diagnosed with cancer.

The Avenue Viera is located at 2261 Town Center Boulevard in Viera.
