Troopers will re-assess conditions as daylight approaches

Florida Highway Patrol Troopers continue to monitor visibility issues along Interstate 95 in Volusia County and the highway remains shut down in both directions between Mile marker 255 to Mile marker 260.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol Troopers continue to monitor visibility issues along Interstate 95 in Volusia County and the highway remains shut down in both directions between mile marker 255 to mile marker 260.

A 37-acre brush fire burning near Interstate 95 has northbound lanes shut down at SR 421 and southbound lanes are shut down at Interstate 4.

“Due to the unstable conditions and the current variations in visibility, I-95 will remain shut down, during the overnight hours,” said Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Kim Montes.

“Troopers will re-assess conditions as daylight approaches. Please monitor FHP’s live traffic conditions for updates on the roadway’s closure.”

Drivers can use 511 for updates.
