Man Killed On I-95 In Brevard When Car He Was Riding in Crashed into Pickup On Highway Shoulder

Nicolas Hazelton, 21, of Cooper City, Florida, was killed
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Nicolas Hazelton, 21, of Cooper City, Florida, was killed early Saturday morning in a crash on Interstate 95 in Melbourne.
According to Lt. Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol, Ravi Bhatia, 18, of Ft. Lauderdale was driving a 2011 Honda Civic southbound on Interstate-95 and struck an unoccupied 2011 Ford pickup truck that was parked on the right shoulder of the southbound I-95 lanes.
Hazelton was a passenger in the Honda Civic and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bhatia was transported to Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
This crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, according to Lt. Montes.
