Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey had the pleasure of speaking at the Knowledge College Business Symposium and Expo on the various ways our community can work together to protect our seniors.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I had the pleasure recently of speaking at the Knowledge College Business Symposium and Expo on the various ways our community can work together to protect our seniors.

The expo was designed to bring awareness to our local business professionals on the topic of elderly exploitation while also providing guidance on the warnings signs of elderly abuse and scams against our seniors.

The content of the program discussed the various types of crimes that can target our seniors to include abuse, neglect, fraud, identity theft, and even how to recognize the early stages of dementia.

I would like to personally thank the members of the Knowledge College for Aging for inviting me to speak at the event as well as everyone who attended so that we can all work together to help protect our seniors.
