Brevard School Board Invites Public To Final Town Hall To Discuss Arming Staff Guardians In Titusville

Scheduled for Monday, May 7, at Jackson Middle School

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County School Board invites the public to the final town hall in the meeting series it is hosting to hear more from the school community before deciding on a proposal to arm staff guardians who could stop school shooters.

The board tentatively will vote on the proposal May 8.

The following 90-minute town-hall style meeting is open to the public:

– Monday, May 7

– Jackson Middle School, Titusville

– District 1-Misty Belford

– 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Those who wish to speak during the 90-minute public town hall meeting should keep in mind:

· Speakers will each receive up to three minutes to present their questions or comments.

· In case of large crowds, not everyone who signs up will get an opportunity to speak within the scheduled 90 minutes.
