Brian Fose Joins Cocoa Police Department As New Code Enforcement Officer

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – A veteran of the U.S. Air Force and current Air National Guardsman is the newest member of the Cocoa Police Department’s Code Enforcement Division.
Brian Fose began work on Monday and will spend the next few days getting familiar with the case load, policies and procedures.
Fose is originally from Buffalo, New York. He and his family moved to Florida in 2017 to be closer to his wife’s family in Melbourne Beach.
In his role as a code enforcement officer, Fose will work with patrol officers and other code enforcement officers and staff to improve the quality of life in the City of Cocoa by ensuring compliance with the city’s multiple building and zoning codes.
Currently, the Code Enforcement Division consists of a manager, a coordinator and two code enforcement officers. They have the full resources of the police department to ensure code compliance.
Between March and November, 2017, code enforcement officers have worked more than 800 cases involving a range of violations including alleged illegal rooming houses, abandoned vehicles and unsafe structures among others.
