FATAL SHOOTING: Melbourne Police Investigating Shooting Death of Peter Jonathon Charles Okoye

POLICE investigating shooting as homicide, SEEKING IDENITY OF SUSPECTS

The Melbourne police are investigating the shooting death of Peter Jonathon Charles Okoye,32, that happened early Monday morning in the 3900 block of Mt. Carmel Lane.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne police are investigating the shooting death of Peter Jonathon Charles Okoye,32, that happened early Monday morning in the 3900 block of Mt. Carmel Lane.

According to Melbourne Police Lt. Scott Mostert, the MPD communications center received a report of multiple shots fired at approximately 3:37 a.m. Monday, and another caller reported a male subject lying on the ground who was possibly a gunshot victim.

Officers arrived on scene and discovered Okoye dead.

“The Criminal Investigations Division is currently investigating the shooting as a homicide investigation and are seeking to identify the person or persons responsible for the incident,” said Lt. Mostert.
