Florida Tech Climbs Up Two Spots After Two Rounds At NCAA South Super Regional Championship

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech climbed two spots in the standings and is now in ninth place through two rounds at the 2018 NCAA South Super Regional Championship.
The Panthers scored an 18-over par 306 on their second trip around Germantown Country Club, a 15-stroke improvement from their first round total, and now sit at 51-over par 627.
No. 5 Barry grabbed the top spot in the tournament at 22-over 598 (297-301) after No. 1 Nova Southeastern shot 18-over in round two and dropped to third overall. No. 10 Rollins jumped to second place with a score of 601 (+25).
Paola Ortiz continues to lead the Panther contingent at 11-over par 155 (80-75) and in a tie for 28th. Megan Dennis is tied for 34th at 12-over 156 (80-76) and Noelle Beijer is one stroke back at 13-over 157 (80-77) and in 37th place.
Hailey Ko is tied for 41st at 15-over 159 (81-78). Lauren Watson rounds out the Crimson & Gray at 19-over 163 (81-82).
The final round of the regional championship takes place Wednesday and Florida Tech tees off the round at 8:30 a.m. CT. The Panthers will be paired with SSC foe Saint Leo and Lenoir-Rhyne during the final 18 holes.
