French Etienne Terrus Museum Discovers Over Half Of The Collection Is Fake

A museum within France discovered in late April that the supposed one-of-a-kind paintings that they were showing were mostly fakes. This comes shortly after the museum opened its doors for the first time since renovations to the premises. When looking into whether the paints were real or not they uncovered that 82 out of the 140 pieces of work being shown at the museum were in fact fakes. The museum still has some very worthy pieces though, so make sure to drop by on your trip to France.

ABBA Return To The Recording Studio

To the delight of fans all over the world, ABBA has returned to the studio and recorded new songs ahead of their ABBA avatar tour project. With their first single ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ set to be released in December of this year, following the release of the highly anticipated Mamma Mia sequel the news sent shockwaves across the globe. The main question on everyone’s lips is will the new music live up their legacy? Only time will tell. If you want a piece of the action before the album is released, take a trip to Stockholm, the band’s origin, and trace their footsteps.

Beast From The East

Earlier this year the Beast from the East sent temperatures plummeting and Italy’s capital had its first snowfall in six years. Rome and all its historic landmarks were blanketed by snow with locals taking to the streets for a snowball fight and even skiing in Saint Peter’s Square. This snowfall really was a sight to behold as fountains were frozen and the land of ancient ruins turned into a winter wonderland. While the snow has long-gone in Rome, the city still retains its beauty and should be a bucket list destination for every European traveler.

2018 has already been an exciting one for news, and we’re not even halfway through! As the year continues we can expect to see plenty more European news stories that will captivate the attention of not only the continent but the world.
