BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On Wednesday, our agency wished a very happy retirement to longtime Brevard County Sheriff’s Office family member Sergeant Dave Madsen.

Dave has enjoyed an incredible career with our agency and leaves behind a legacy of professionalism and valued service to our citizens as well as to those he supervised throughout his career.

Dave was hired on January 3rd, 1994, by former Sheriff Jake Miller as a Deputy Sheriff in our South Precinct. During his very prestigious career with our agency, Dave served as an Field Training Officer, Agent in our Domestic Violence Unit and was then promoted to Sergeant in our South Precinct which he fondly called his home and remained until his retirement.

While serving our citizens, Dave received a significant amount of Commendations, Unit Citations and Merit Bars for exceptional service and leaves behind a legacy of true professionalism, leadership and friendship within our agency!!

Please join me in congratulating Dave on his well earned retirement and in thanking him for his tremendous service and dedication to our agency and community!
