Severe storms rocked Brevard County Friday evening as the National Weather Service issued residents and visitors a severe storm warning that included heavy rain and strong winds.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Severe storms rocked Brevard County Friday evening as the National Weather Service issued residents and visitors a severe storm warning that included heavy rain and strong winds.

The National Weather Service said the storms included dangerous lightning, gusty winds, small hail and heavy downpours in certain areas.

Officials remind people to always seek shelter indoors when storms threaten the area.
