Mules are back. From flats to stacked heels, the mule is a versatile option. Weather-worn with jeans, capris or a summer dress, the mule comes in many textures and colors that get the job done.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA– Now that Mother’s Day has passed and once you’ve used your gift certificates on those pedicures, it is time to turn our attention to women’s summer footwear fashion.

The trends in 2018 are taking us back to looks from the past including kitten heels and bright colors among other fashion statements.

Accessories such as shoes are an easy way to give the summer wardrobe a touch of flare.

There are a few trends that will make a strong appearance in Summer 2018.

Mules are back. From flats to stacked heels, the mule is a versatile option. Whether worn with jeans, capris or a summer dress, the mule comes in many textures and colors that get the job done.

The toe-ring sandal is making an unexpected comeback. This year it’s a  modern version of the throwback in a sleek updated flat or heel.

It’s all about the color. Just pick one, anyone.

As long as it’s bright it will make a fun statement and complete any outfit. Many hues including yellow, fuchsia and blue add contrast and fun to the wardrobe.

Statement sneakers are still a go-to option. As long as they are cute, sneakers add a bold contrast to a soft summer dress.

Any sneaker works this season. The chunky “dad” sneaker, the classic “chuck” or the bedazzled canvas deck sneaker all fall on trend this summer.

Make sure to have the tootsies ready for another throwback look, the acrylic sandal. Sheer makes a statement with this look even if it sports embellishments.

It’s not for everyone and comfort can be a factor, but sometimes style overcomes comfort in matters of fashion.

Seasonal changes are easily tackled in the closet using accessories. Like shoes, jewelry is another affordable method of updating.

The benefit to accessorizing with jewelry is cost-effectiveness. With the versatility jewelry offers as well as an easy camouflage of perceived flaws.

Of course, jewelry is less affected by seasonal weather changes as are shoes and of course, jewelry always fits regardless of weight gain or loss. This makes jewelry a win-win.

Over the years, the business has grown and expanded into styling, training and consulting on everything from helping women find the right piece of jewelry, to building a wardrobe for a new look.

Gina married Alan Zlotorzynski in 2009 and is now the proud mom of three girls – Isabella, Sarah and Lauren – and a boy, Marco. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as training and speaking on fashion and style.

She has a unique perspective on style and its relationship to the everyday woman. These days, as her Premier business continues to grow and as the Fashion and Beauty Editor of Space Coast Daily, Gina helps women on Florida’s Space Coast develop their personal style while balancing their busy lives.
