Titusville Man, 59, Dies in Motorcycle Crash Tuesday Afternoon Along US-1

Florida High Patrol has identified 59-year old Wallace Ayers of Titusville as the man killed in a deadly motorcycle crash early Tuesday afternoon on Highway US 1 and Jay Jay Road in Titusville. 

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Florida High Patrol has identified 59-year old Wallace Ayers of Titusville as the man killed in a deadly motorcycle crash around 12:35 p.m. Tuesday afternoon along US 1 and Jay Jay Road in Titusville. 

According to the Sgt. Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2018 four-door Honda driven by 81-year-old Jo Kerr was stopped westbound at the intersection of Jay Jay Road and US Highway 1.

Kerr attempted to make a left turn to travel southbound onto US 1 as Ayers was traveling northbound on US 1 on his motorcycle.

According to Sgt. Montes, Kerr turned directly into the path of Ayers and with the front of her vehicle struck the left rear of Ayers motorcycle causing him to be ejected off the bike.

Investigators say Ayers was not wearing a helmet and died at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville from his injuries.

Kerr didn’t suffer any injuries in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
