BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Corinne Desrosiers has resigned as head coach of the Florida Tech women’s lacrosse team.

Desrosiers leaves Florida Tech after serving five years at the helm of the women’s lacrosse program, bringing the team up from its infancy and inaugural season in 2015 and transforming it into a perennial Top-5 program in only four seasons.

“Coach Desrosiers has done an outstanding job at Florida Tech developing the women’s lacrosse program into a national contender in just its four years of existence,” said Florida Tech Athletic Director Bill Jurgens.

“For what she has accomplished in her coaching career, there is no question she is one of the top coaches in the country. I wish her the very best in her new endeavor and thank her for all she has done for Florida Tech Athletics.”

Under Desrosiers, the Panthers enjoyed a pinnacle season in 2018. The 2016 and 2017 Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year saw the Panthers go 17-3 in 2018, including a 5-1 record in the SSC, rattled off a 15-game winning streak and were rank as high as No. 5 in the nation during the season.

The Panthers made the SSC Tournament all four years of the program’s history and competed in the conference championship game in 2017 and 2018. Florida Tech made the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the national quarterfinals each of the past two seasons.

In total, Desrosiers has coached 30 All-SSC selections, 14 All-South Region honorees and eight All-Americans.
