BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Former Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos announced his endorsement on Friday of Republican Tyler Sirois for the District 51 seat in the Florida House of Representatives.
Mike Haridopolos represented Brevard County in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate, presiding as Senate President from 2010 to 2012.
“Tyler is a trusted friend and solid conservative who will effectively advocate for Brevard County families and business owners,” said Haridopolos.
“Brevard needs strong voices in our state Capitol. Tyler will provide that voice for us to push for lower taxes, safe schools, cleaning up our lagoon, and standing up for our Second Amendment rights. I am proud to support Tyler Sirois for the Florida House!”

Sirois is a lifelong resident of Brevard County. He is married to Katy Sirois and together they have two children: Emma Kate, 4, and Jack, 1.
“I remember the ‘What’s a Haridopolos?’ campaign from when I was a younger man,” said Sirois.
“For me, the answer to that question has always been this: a family man, principled conservative, mentor and friend. Today, I am proud to add another answer: a Tyler Sirois supporter. I am grateful for his support.”
Sirois also received the endorsement of Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey in June.
“Tyler Sirois is a friend to law enforcement and strong supporter of public safety,” said Sheriff Ivey in his endorsement.
“As Executive Director of the State Attorney’s Office, Tyler has demonstrated his leadership abilities and fiscal conservatism. As president of the Friends of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Brevard, Tyler is committed to supporting mental health services and programs vital to the health and safety of Florida families and businesses.

“I am confident that as a member of the Florida House of Representatives, Tyler will be a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and tough on crime. For all of these reasons, Tyler Sirois has earned my endorsement as our next state representative.”
Sirois is the Executive Director of the Office of the State Attorney for the 18th Judicial Circuit and is running to represent District 51 in the Florida House of Representatives, which includes Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island, and Rockledge.
The seat is currently held by Representative Tom Goodson who is term-limited.
